  1. In chapter 1, “Pudding like a night on the sea”, was it a good idea for Julian and Huey to eat the lemon pudding?  Why?  Explain your answer.

 

2.    In the chapter, “Pudding like a night on the sea”, when you were reading the part when Julian and Huey’s dad gets mad, how did Julian and Huey feel? Explain your answer.

 

  1. After you read “Catalog Cats”, the chapter, answer this question: What is the relationship between Julian and Huey?  How would you describe this relationship?

 

4.    Why did Huey have strange dreams about catalog cats in the chapter, “Catalog Cats”?

 

5.    In the chapter entitled, “Catalog Cats”, why would Huey believe what Julian said about catalog cats?

 

6.    In the chapter entitled, “Catalog cats”, using the way the catalog cats were described in the story, why do you suppose the work would go twice as fast in a garden with hard working people?

17.  In the chapter, “Gloria who might be my best friend”, do you think all of Julian and Gloria’s wishes will come true?  Explain your answer.

 

18.  In the last chapter, do you think people will tease Julian if they found out that he has a girl for a friend?

 

19.  After you read this book, what changes would you make to this book to make it more exciting?
