Welcome to our Thinking Through Literature: Literature Units web project.

We are a fourth and fifth grade class in Mrs. Sunda's Gifted Resource program at Brisas Elementary in Chandler, AZ. For each of the following books, student pairs have written discussion questions that do not call for mere recall of facts but require high level thinking skills such as inference, analysis, and evaluation. The units are introduced by the students with a F.I.C.T.I.O.N report that shares our ideas about the books. The Literature Units we developed contain suggested writing activities to go along with the novels and several other comprehension worksheets and fun sheets. We hope you enjoy these books and can use our literature units to develop thinking skills in your class.
