During the time he was over-seas, the inventor had kept in contact with the U.S. In a few more months, Fulton returned home, to the U.S.A. His mom was overjoyed to see her soon after twenty long years. When Fulton did get back, he started to do his research and experiments. At first, the people didn't think that Fulton's boat was great, but after he moved to the U.S. many people wanted to be in his boat. Fulton hadn't forgotten about his mother. In France, Robert had made enough money to buy his mother a farm. After Robert's father died Mrs. Fulton had to sell the farm, and after that she had always wanted a farm. Robert Fulton died in the year 1815 from becoming seriously ill. His inventions changed the world by allowing people to travel along many rivers. Fulton was a brave determined young man. From Robert Fulton, we can learn to keep trying even if you are failing.
