Mount Fuji is Japan's highest volcano. Fuji is also well known as a famous peak for tourists. It is south of  Honshu  Island and is near Tokyo. Many temples were built on Mount Fuji. It is a frequent subject in Japanese art and literature.

There are over 250 earthquakes located near Mount Hood. They usually last from a few hours to a couple of days. The largest event does not happen in the beginning. 

Mount Rainier is a young volcano whose slopes are undergoing rapid change, including debris flows. Debris flows are churning masses of water, rock and mud. Outbursts flows have been  recorded from four glaciers on Mt. Rainier.
