Hank Aaron
Written by Justin
Hank Aaron is a famous baseball player that many looks up to in 1960s. He started just like any black child in the 1920s. He was treated badly, but he ignored them and went to become a baseball player. He beat Babe Ruth's 700 home run record by 15 more. He got elected into the hall of fame in 1982 and became the last African American to play in the major leagues. This is a chain of letters about Hank Aaron and a boy named Michael talking together in 2003 about Hank’s baseball history and life. They live in two different kinds of houses. Hank lives in a giant mansion from the money he earned during his baseball career. Michael is very curious about Hank Aaron from the talk of the other neighbors. He finds out that he can send him some letters to find about him. Only that Hank answers a specific amount of letters. He sends him one letter first and then waits to see if he will answer back. The characters are fictional, but the information about Hank Aaron is factual. |
