HANDS ACROSS THE BORDER
Hands Across the Border is having a carwash at the Taco Bell on Chandler Blvd this Saturday, Nov. 14th from 10:00 to 1:00. Please come by and have your family car, minivan, SUV or bicycle washed by our very own AMS ambassadors! Pre-sold tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Carranza in room A-14. Anyone with a pre-sold ticket does not have to wait in line to have their car washed.

CHEER TEAM MEETING
There will be a meeting for the AMS Cheer Team Thursday morning at 7:45 in Room A13. Coach Stelling will discuss practice times, fees, and order information.
WRESTLING PRACTICE
Wrestling practice starts this coming Monday. The gym doors will be opened at 6:00am and practice will start at 6:15. See Coach Baluch if you have any questions.
MUSIC IN THE COURTYARD
Would you like to join Mr. Robison and friends for a nice relaxing evening in the courtyard after school from 3:20 to 4:30. (you must have a ride home @4:30). The first Night is Thursday, Oct. 29. You can bring a book to read, work on your homework or just socialize with friends, while listening to nice relaxing music. Geri’s snack shack will be available.”

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATIONAL MEETING
The Parent Network is hosting a meeting tonight for Soon-to-Be and New Tempe Union High School parents. The meeting will be held from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Compadre High School. 8th Graders, please let your parents know that they can find additional information on the AMS website.
POP TOPS
Please join Mrs. Anderson on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 3:15 – 5:00 in room C6 for pop top counting for the Holocaust victims. We have over 200,000 right now and need 11 million to represent all the people lost during the Holocaust. No need to sign up, just bring a snack and have a ride home at 5:oo. All grade levels welcome – We have so many to count and remember to keep saving them in the containers in your classrooms!

Exploratory Teachers are having a Clarker Garage Sale this Friday during lunches in room D-5. Bring your Clarkers and get ready to spend them on fun items too numerous to mention. There will also be mystery grab bags to choose from if you want to try your luck! So…get out there and show good character and earn some Clarkers!

Attention all Guitar and Piano players!!! The Akimel A-al Jazz Band has open positions for Guitar and Piano. If you have experience and know how to read music you may be the person we are looking for!!! See Mr. Krill in the Band Room if you are interested.
PTSO DONUT SALE AND BOO-A-GRAM DISTRIBUTION
The PTSO will host a donut day sale this Friday before school. They will also be distributing Boo-A-Grams on Friday.

CONGRATULATIONS 7TH GRADE SOCCER TEAM
The 7th grade boys soccer team beat Centennial in an amazing game last night. They came back from a 3-0 lead by Centennial to tie the game by the end of regulation time. The game ended up going to a shootout and our boys put all their shots in the back of the net! Congratulations Rattlers, your coach is proud! Come see them face KMS at 430 at Tempe Sports Complex!

SCHOOL PICTURE RETAKES TODAY
Today is School Picture Retake Day. If you are a new student or were absent on picture day, we need for you to come to B6 to have your picture taken – even if you are not buying a picture package.
Students getting their picture taken or retaken will be called by grade level: 1st Period – 6th Grade, 2nd Period – 7th Grade, 3rd Period – 8th Grade. Please listen for the announcements. Photographers will be in Room B6.
If you are having your picture retaken, please give your original picture package and $6 sitting fee to the photographer.

Sports Physicals will be available at KYRENE MIDDLE SCHOOL on Thursday, Oct. 22nd from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25.00 cash only. This is a perfect way to get a physical for your winter sports.
