Regular attendance and punctual arrival are two habits that dramatically impact student achievement. Parents/guardians are urged to make every attempt to schedule doctor, dentist, orthodontist appointments for their children at times outside the school day. This will prevent the student from getting behind in his/her work.

PARENT'S/ GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITY

Parents/guardians are asked to call the attendance office within 2 hours of the start of each day(783-2497). Please leave a message on the voice mail indicating the student's name, grade, dates of the absence, and reason for the absence.

Homework Requests: Requests for homework may be made through the office(783-2400). The student must be absent 48 hours before requests can be made to their team. Please do not pick up homework until the end of the day on the date requested.

Excused absences: excused absences are absences that are excused by the parent/guardian and by the school administration. Missing the bus, car trouble, oversleeping, shopping, out of town trips, etc. are not considered acceptable reasons for an excused absence or an excused tardy.

Unexcused absences:

The parent/guardian does not know or approve of the absence

The school administrator does not approve of absence

The parent/guardian cannot be contacted
