The Day It Snowed Silver Snowflakes

    "The weather forecast today is cloudy with a 70% chance of snow down in Scottsdale," boomed the reporter in Ashleyís radio.
    "I think heís going to kill everyone with that noise!" Ashley exclaimed. Even though Ashley was annoyed with the reporter, she did have to admit it did look like it was going to snow. Ashley turned off her radio and got on her coat.

    She got on her boots and slipped outside. She walked to her special tree and quietly started to climb. She finally reached the top and looked out. Snowflakes were just starting to fall. Then Ashley noticed something strange. One tiny snowflake had landed on her shirt. As she looked down, the tiny snowflake began to change. It became silver, and as it floated away and touched the others, one by one, they all began to change. They all turned silver and fell to the ground. But as they fell, they turned the ground white with snow. Ashley jumped down and landed in a great big pile of snow. "Din- Whoa! What happened here?" Ashleyís mom cried. "I hope you arenít too surprised, itís the day it snowed silver snowflakes!" Ashley told her.
