Mariposa School Rules
Students are expected to know these rules. Teachers continually review
these rules at school and we expect that parents will review them at home. This
list is included in the parent handbook distributed to all students at the start
of each school year.
- Respect the rights and property of others.
- Respect the school building, ground, and equipment and do not litter.
- At all times, use appropriate language and level of voice. Obscene
or abusive language is not appropriate.
- Use equipment properly and safely. Take turns using playground equipment.
No running or tag games are allowed on the sand or on the equipment.
- Do not play games that will cause injury.
- Stay in designated areas on the school campus and never leave the grounds
without adult permission and supervision.
- Follow directions given by all staff members.
- Stop playing when the bell rings or an adult blows a whistle.
- Throw only playground balls and not sand, rocks, or objects that could
injure others.
- Walk at all times on the sidewalks and in the school building.
- No gum chewing is allowed on school grounds.
- Hats are to be worn outside only, not in the school building.

phones or electronics.
