Integrity
Lifeskills Make a Difference!
“Friendship Matters!”
Integrity is defined as: acting according to a sense of what’s right and wrong, being true to oneself and others.
The Lifeskill of Integrity is one of the most inner-driven skills. Integrity must be formulated, nurtured, and put into action from within.
Integrity is our inner voice of wisdom, a voice that speaks the truth about whether there is a match between our words and actions and our sense of what is right and wrong. This Lifeskill lies at the core of who we are, what we believe, and what we stand for.
Students show signs of Integrity when they:
· Fulfill a promise or contract and keep their “word”
· Accept responsibility for their actions
· Tell the truth even though there may be unpleasant consequences
· Walk away from peer group pressures to do negative things.
