Friendship

Lifeskills Make a Difference!

“Friendship Matters!”

Friendship is defined as the ability to “make and keep a friend through mutual trust and caring.” Whether at home, school, or work, making and keeping friends is critical to our success and personal well-being.  The personal quality of sociability has been identified as essential for people entering the work force.  Friendship at school can be demonstrated by:

· Offering to help classmates when needed in any way they can

· Ignoring or confronting classmates who spread hurtful rumors

· Avoiding cliques, include everyone in school social activities

· Respecting the ways people are different from each other
