The Go Green Club

Purpose?  The purpose of the Go Green! Club is to bring students of all ages and grades together, use our Character Counts program to make connections and allow students the opportunity to feel ownership and a sense of responsibility in helping the Cerritos Community Go Green!

Who?   Open to K – 5th Grades

When?   Two times a month before school from 7:10 – 7:40 am

Where?   Meet in Room #53 (Ms. Makela’s room)

Why?   It is a great opportunity for students to show that their Character Counts when it comes to going Green.

What?   Students will make posters to promote Abitibi Recycle Bin pick-up once a month, help recycle printer ink cartridges, recycle plastic bottles, write Go Green! tips and reminders for morning announcements, brainstorm ways to promote Go Green to peers and help educate grade levels and classrooms!

The Go Green! Club will also collaborate with the Go Green parent led committee, teachers and staff to help support special events, programs and carry out the Go Green! initiative.
