Success Through Academic Reform

The S.T.A.R. program is an innovative four-week summer program designed to build on social, emotional and academic skills for students who have struggled with success in school. S.T.A.R. promotes student success through communication arts, mathematics, team building, study/organizational strategies, character building activities and discussions. S.T.A.R. teachers will monitor student progress, correct and grade assignments, and assess objectives to verify mastery. A graduation ceremony and an off-campus excursion will culminate this summer’s program. Students completing the S.T.A.R. program will have an established connection with a student advocate on their home campus.
