Native American Family Math & Science Afternoon

The Kyrene Native American Parent Advisory Committee is excited to invite you to an afternoon of fun and educational family math and science activities.  There will be math games and hands-on science experiments for the whole family.  Please join us for fun and fellowship!

Kyrene de los Niņos College Fair Night

Niņos students are college bound!  As a No Excuses University (NEU), Niņos staff believe that talking and planning for college begins at the elementary school level.  Kyrene de los Niņos has planned a very special evening for you and your child(ren) on November 19th to begin learning together about the many choices that are available when choosing a university or college.  They have invited both in state and out of state university/college admission representatives to their first College Fair Night.  The evening will being at 6:00 pm with a light dinner for attendees under the school's ramada.  Families arriving for dinner will be entered into a drawing for gift cards and baskets.  Families will then have an opportunity to visit the various college/university tables from 6:30-7:15 pm in the schools' MPR.  Each college/university will provide information, answer questions and also have special items that will be given away.  The drawings for the gift cards, baskets and college/university items will begin at 7:15 pm.  You must be present to win!

The American Indian Youth Conference is a statewide education conference for American Indian students, grades 8 - 12 that aims to support, encourage, and provide the necessary resources for students to achieve their education and career goals.

Times may be hard, but there are still an abundance of resources available to help YOU!  Find out what you qualify for at www.azselfhelp.org!  Arizona Self Help prescreens eligibility and provides information on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the new federal name for the Food Stamp Program) and other programs such as:  WIC, School Meals, Emergency Food Assistance, Section 8 Hoursing Assistance, Utility Discount Programs, AHCCCS, Kids Care, Children and Senior Resources and Services.
