Kyrene Montessori
About the Program
Montessori represents an entirely different approach to early learning, one which Kyrene is excited to offer-exemplifying its commitment to diversified educational services. This program is open to students three to five years of age.
The philosophy is based on Dr. Maria Montessori's discovery of universal principles underlying the development of all children ― that nature has given children special forms of mental powers that aid in their self-construction.
The Kyrene Montessori Program is located at Kyrene Del Norte and is offered during the same time as the traditional educational programs in the Kyrene School District.
» Full day Montessori program runs from 7:45 am - 2:35 pm.
(Every Wednesday is early release with dismissal time of 12:35 pm.)
» Half day Montessori
program runs from 7:45 am - 11:15 am.
Please note that not all children will start on the same day, Montessori
is child directed learning therefore we have staggered start dates. For

The Montessori Classroom
Kyrene Montessori classrooms provide a warm and inviting learning environment filled with plants, animals, art, music and books. The authentic Montessori environment facilitates student discussion and stimulates collaborative learning, while students receive instruction individually and in small groups.
Every Montessori classroom has access to a full complement of
Montessori materials, the school's library, media center and
multiple state-of-the-art computer labs. Classrooms also have
access to an outdoor environment, where children can use
their senses to explore nature and interact with one another. Students have additional instruction by degreed
physical education and music specialists each week. Classroom
