Sarah Baird is the state’s honoree for 2009. Sarah, a National Board Certified teacher since November of 2004, serves as math coach at Kyrene de las Lomas and Kyrene del Milenio in Phoenix. She has been with the district since August of 1999. Arizona Teacher of the Year is the only statewide program that spotlights the contributions of Arizona’s teachers.
Sarah Baird will be Recognized as One of the Nation’s Top Teachers
WASHINGTON, DC (September 29, 2009) – Sarah Baird,a math coach at Kyrene del Milenio and Kyrene del Cielo Elementary Schools in Phoenix, AZ,is one of five national finalists for The NEA Foundation Awards for Teaching Excellence. Baird will be recognized as one of the nation’s top educators at the Foundation’s Salute to Excellence in Education awards gala on Feb. 12, 2010 in Washington, DC.
