Welcome to Kyrene Connect -
Employee KSD Laptop Instructions
* You may want to print these instructions for reference.
 
*You MUST be using a High Speed internet connection for this system to function properly (ex. Cox or DSL)
This may not work correctly over dial up.
 
  • This system will allow you to use your Kyrene laptop connect to the KSD network just as if you were sitting at your desk at work. All network resources will be available to you.
  • If you are not using a Kyrene laptop (but are using your home/other computer) click here for different instructions.
 
  1. Log into the VPN portal with the supplied credentials at:
    http://www.kyrene.org/kc
     
  2. Once logged in you will see the following screen.


     
  3. Click the START button listed under Client Application Sessions.
    This will launch a Network Connect application. This may take 1-2 minutes to load. Please be patient.

    If this is the first time you have run this application you may see the following screen:
    This is simply installing the application. Just wait for it to complete.


    ** If you get an error saying you do not have permission to install, you will need to contect User Support to have the
    Juniper msi installed on your system.


    If for any reason you get the pop-up blocker screen below, simply click on the yellow message below
     


    You will then see this screen.
    Select "Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site"
     


    You will then get the prompt below. Simply Select "Yes"
     

     
     
  4. Once the application has loaded you will see this Icon in your system tray
    and you will be taken back to the main page shown above.
     
  5. VERY IMPORTANT - You must now manually map your network drives so your personal drive letters will appear correctly under "My Computer". To do this simply click the link that says "VPN - Map Network Drives".
     
  6. Find your school/work location folder and click on the folder.
    Now click the file called CLICK THIS FILE TO MAP YOUR DRIVES -- Your-School-VPN.bat file.
    Be sure to CLICK RUN when prompted - Do not click Save
     
  7. Now minimize the browser window and work just as if you were sitting in your classroom or office.
  8. When you are done working click the Sign Out button
    or right-click on the Network Connect Icon in your system tray and select Sign Out.
