Voluntary Transfer Process for Certified Staff

January 15th – May 15th

Requests may be made any time during the transfer period from January 15th through May 15th by completing the Request for Voluntary Transfer Form. All transfers must be completed by close of business as of May 15th.

Teachers may request transfers for posted vacancies for the upcoming school year only. There is no limit to the number of transfer requests selected. Please attach an updated resume.

Who is Eligible to participate in the Transfer Process?

  • Permanent Kyrene Teachers with satisfactory evaluations.
  • Permanent part-time T+3 teachers may request a transfer to full-time or part-time positions.
  • Permanent teachers presently on leave who plan to resume active employment for the next school year.

Who is Ineligible to participate in the Transfer Process?

  • Guest teachers, teachers on short term (one-year only) contracts, part-time T-3 teachers and support employees are not eligible to participate; however, we invite these employees to apply on-line for posted vacancies by completing/updating a Certified, Support or Administrative application. 
  • No teacher placed on a Performance Improvement Plan may apply for a transfer.
  • Transfers within the same building will be handled internally, not through this transfer process or through WinOcular. Each school administrator will develop and communicate the internal process to staff.

What happens after the Transfer Request Form is submitted?

Hiring administrators will review each candidate’s request, but are not required to personally interview each candidate. The hiring administrator will notify Human Resource Services of the selection and will submit a transfer Personnel Action Request (PAR) to Human Resource Services.

Note: If any teacher is determined to be ineligible to participate in the transfer process, this application will become inactive and the transfer request will be denied.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY QUESTIONNAIRE 

To help determine if you are eligible to participate in the Certified Voluntary Transfer Process, please answer the following questions. 

  1. Are you a permanent contracted full-time teacher or a permanent part-time T+3 teacher in the Kyrene District?
  2. Was your last evaluation satisfactory?
  3. Are you applying for a transfer to another site?
  4. Are you both Certified and Highly Qualified for the position(s) that you are seeking?

Select the ‘Transfer Form’ option to complete the Transfer Request Form.  

Ø       If you answered ‘no’ to any of the above questions, you are not eligible to participate in the Certified Voluntary Transfer Process.
