What is the Kyrene Career Ladder Program?

The Kyrene Career Ladder Program represents an effort by the Arizona State Legislature to improve the quality of teaching and learning in our public schools and to attract and retain quality teachers by providing additional compensation, mentoring and staff development for teachers.  The Kyrene School District has received direct funding from this program since 1985.  Participating districts must meet criteria set by the legislature.  The program is administered by the Arizona Department of Education.  Individual eligibility information can be accessed by contacting the Career Ladder Office at 480-783-4128 or mlomba@kyrene.org.

  • Issues contact addenda (direct compensation ranges from approximately $1,000 to $5,500) based on participant’s qualified level
