The Kyrene School District is a self-insured trust.  The Kyrene Employees' Benefit Trust or KEBT uses United Healthcare to administer our medical plans. All regular contracted employees that work 20 hours or more a week are eligible to receive benefits. Temporary contracts are not eligible for benefits.

The following options are available:

  • Medical (EPO or PPO)
  • Vision
  • Dental
  • Short-term Disability
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts

For those employees who elect medical coverage, the District provides an allowance (above and beyond the employee's salary), which is used to offset the cost.  The allowance is determined by the number of hours the employee works.

The Kyrene School District also offers:

  • Retirement plan through Arizona State Retirement System
  • Annuities (403b)
  • Authorized Compensatory Absences (sick/personal time)
  • Vacation for 12 month employees
  • Paid holidays
  • Professional Growth Programs
