Public Review of Proposed Revised Curriculum Objectives for
Health Strand 8: Growth & Development
& Strand 9: HIV/AIDS & STIs

On March 24, 2009, the revised curriculum for Health Strand 8: Growth & Development and Strand 9: HIV/AIDS & STIs was presented to the Kyrene Governing Board for a first reading. The document will remain open to the Kyrene Community until April 24, 2009, in order to collect comments and feedback from teachers, parents, and community members. A recommendation regarding this curriculum will be made at the Governing Board Meeting on April 28, 2009.

Parents, teachers, and community members are encouraged to use the links provided to read the background information, summary of changes, the revised curriculum objectives and then provide feedback. The feedback, as written, will be reviewed by the Health Steering Committee and the Kyrene Governing Board prior to the recommendation for adoption.
