Science resource recommendations from the Committee were presented to and approved by the KSD Board on March 28th. The resources adopted for each grade level unit are listed below.

Summer Science Workgroups This summer KSD grade level teachers will be constructing resources to assist all teachers in implementing the new science resources. The goal of these groups is to create outlines including objectives, background information, extension ideas and integration of all the new adopted science resources. The goal is to have these resources available for teachers in July. These teacher resources will be linked as soon as they are available. |

Update and timeline of SRC Science Kit Checkout Procedures We are moving to a paperless reservation system for the SRC. We will be using the same process teachers use to reserve videos from the IMC. This new process is not in place yet. We will be emailing teachers over the summer when reservations will be accepted. Please check back at the website for additional information over the summer. |

A great summer activity for teachers: Science trade book review Additional science resources are on display for educator and parent review through June at the district office. Please come by to review the materials on display. Attached are the list of trade books on display by grade level and by unit.

If you have an outstanding fieldtrip that you think really enhances your science instruction, please send the contact information, grade level and science unit name to Jessica (jboland@kyrene.org) or Suzi (smast@kyrene.org) . We would love to include these in the teacher resources for each science unit. |
