Age Groups

C.A.S.A. Vida is structured to accommodate Kindergarten through 6th grade students. Students may enroll in either Kindergarten/First grade, Second/Third grade or Fourth - Sixth grade. Students are placed in classes based on their age at enrollment. C.A.S.A Vida allows children to work at their own level and pace, and does not assign letter grades to report progress.

C.A.S.A. Vida is located within the Kyrene de los Lagos Elementary School

17001 S. 34th Way, Phoenix, AZ 85048   

School Hours

8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Thursday or Friday. Students may be on campus as early as 8:15 am. They are supervised on the playground until school starts.

Lunch

Students may bring lunch or purchase lunch at school. A nutritional hot lunch as well as an optional salad bar is available for $2.00 per day. Milk is available for $0.35 per carton.

Funding

C.A.S.A. Vida is an alternative educational program offered by Kyrene School District. C.A.S.A Vida is funded via the same state formulas and funding mechanisms that provide funding for public and charter schools. C.A.S.A. Vida receives a percentage of the standard Arizona student funding based on its students enrolling on a quarter - time basis, therefore there are no fees associated with the program. C.A.S.A. Vida enrollment is open to home educators throughout the Valley.
