Kronos Time Clock
System
What is Kronos?
Kronos is an electronic time clock system that captures the employees in and out time and will replace the traditional paper time card system. With Kronos we are able to increase payroll accuracy and efficiency by automating employee time, attendance, and leave management. We are also able to empower employees with self-service capabilities that reduce operational costs and the calls to the payroll department while improving employee satisfaction
Frequently Asked Questions about Kronos
Will staff be required to clock in and out for their various jobs?
No, if staff work multiple jobs at one location, they will not need to clock in and out throughout the day as their job changes. The only exception to this is instructional assistants funded by Title I. More information about this will be forth coming.
What if staff arrive a few minutes before their scheduled start time?
Staff will clock in at their arrival time. We will work with schools to collect all their staff schedules so the employees work schedule will be preloaded into the clock.
Will the time clock round?
The time clock will capture the employees time and will do what is called ‘incremental rounding.’ Incremental rounding provides the most accurate form of reporting time without restricting employees. The time clock will look at all punches (in and out as well as lunch) and will round in increments.
How much time does it take to
clock in?
It takes less
than 3 seconds to clock in at the Kronos Time Clock
