The Kyrene Athletic Program
welcomes business donations.
With our "Gold Package" businesses who donate $800 or
more to the Kyrene Athletic Program will be recognized with a
"Thank You" banner
displaying their business name, logo and information. Donors
will be given the option to
hang the banner
in the gym
of the Kyrene school of their choice.
You can't lose...donate to Kyrene's Athletic Program and
at the same time advertise your business!
Another way
to help is by joining our "Sponsor a Kid" program. With as
little as $75, $100 or $120 you can help sponsor athletes who do not
have the financial means to experience the benefits of Middle School
Athletics. Studies have shown that, "Academics and Athletics go
hand-in-hand". For

Donate to Kyrene Athletics and Receive
up to a $400 Break on your 2008 Arizona State Taxes!
Why Donate to Kyrene Athletics?
Your donation will help ensure that approximately 3,000 Kyrene student athletes
can continue to participate in the District's athletic program. Kyrene Athletics has received no District funds since 2000, when it became
necessary to reallocate $3.3 million within the District budget. Since that
time, the Athletic Program has been funded by a combination of participation
fees, tax credit donations, grants, business donations, business partnerships,
proceeds from special events and recently with
our "Sponsor a Kid" program.
How Does the Donation Work?
Under state law ARS 43-1089.01, Arizona taxpayers can receive a dollar-for-dollar
tax credit when they contribute up to $200 per year ($400 for married couples
filing a joint return) to extracurricular activities in public schools.
How Can I Be Sure My Donation Goes Directly to Kyrene's Athletic Program?
You can be sure that the Kyrene Athletic Program receives your donation by
making your check payable to "Kyrene School District-Athletics". You can
pick up a form at the school office or click here
to download a printable
version of our tax credit donation form.
Mail the form and the check to the address
provided by December 31, 2008. Donations postmarked after this date will
apply towards the 2009 tax year.

Coaching Opportunities
Kyrene offers many
coaching opportunities within the three athletic sports seasons. If you
enjoy working with kids, believe in the value of healthy competition and
sportsmanship, and are knowledgeable in a sport, then coaching for our
middle school athletic program is for you.
Coaches with 0-3
year experience
are paid at a Step I rate of $1,330,
4-6 years experience are at Step II
$1,600, 7 years and over are at
Step III $1,750 for all cut and
non-cut sports. Cheer is on a
slightly different scale, Step I
is at $1,000, Step II at $1,330,
and Step III at $1,480.
This school year we have opened a few more coaching opportunities with the
new school closure clinics and intramural programs that will be offered at
various of our middle schools.

Info/Apply On-line then follow the prompts. Current Kyrene
employees (certified or support) as well as off-campus coaches are
welcomed!
