Akimel A-al is an “A” School

Based on the spring 2014 AIMS scores, for the second year in a row, Akimel A-al Middle School has been named an “A” school from the Arizona Department of Education. The ADE letter grades consist of a combination of the percentage of students passing the reading and math tests and a measure of improvement from the previous year’s scores. This designation is indicative of the High Standards; High Achievement; High Expectations for All that we demonstrate at Akimel A-al. Congratulations Rattlers!

Announcements

  • There will be no school on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th as we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

If your child(ren) will be absent Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, please be sure to report their absence by calling the 24-Hour Attendance Line at 480-541-5801.

If you plan to sign you child out of school early, please send him/her with a note which should then be brought to the office first thing in the morning.  This enables us to give your child a pass so that he/she can be in the office waiting for you at the scheduled time.  If you are unable to provide a note, please know that it may take us longer than usual to call your student to the office due to alternate team/pod schedules.  We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
