Basic Philosophy:
I am honored to be an educator in the Kyrene School District, where I have served for approximately 20 years. I believe that all students have the right to a high quality education and to achieve to their highest potential. Public education is the foundation for our nation and is fundamental to a democratic society.
Experience:
Before I was named Executive Director for Instructional Services, I served as principal for many years of Kyrene Akimel A-al Middle School and Kyrene Middle School. I began my career as a special education classroom teacher and administrator in Rock Island and Naperville, Illinois, and have also held the positions of Assistant Principal, Director of Special Education, and Director of Supplemental Education.
Education:
My undergraduate degree is in Special Education and Elementary Education from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.
I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
