Basic Philosophy:
I consider it a privilege to be an educator serving the Kyrene community. As an instructional leader I value working collaboratively with others to meet the needs of all students. We measure our success by the success of each and every child in our care. I believe in public education as the foundation for our children’s future and the cornerstone of democracy.
Experience:
Before I was named Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services, I served as principal of Kyrene de la Paloma for many years. I began my career in education as an elementary classroom teacher and then specialized in gifted education.
Education:
My undergraduate degree is in Liberal Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California. I have a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, both from Northern Arizona University.
