This Kids-Choice Challenge Island adventure puts a twist on popular video games: From Super STEAMio to Island Blox to Mine Island to Fort Island to retro-inspired games like Space Aliens and Pinball Machines! You and your STEAM Team will swap game consoles for creativity and joysticks for ingenuity and imagination as you take on Islands of low-tech STEAM challenges created with game-loving kids in mind!

An introductory course into the world of writing for the screen. In beginner screenwriting we would focus on short scripts with the possibility of a longer form scripts. Novice screenwriters will cover the formatting of scripts as well as looking at some well-known screenplays to study the style of different writers.

S.T.E.A.M. Camp: Bricks 4 Kidz and Young Rembrandts partner to provide engaging daily activities within the curriculum areas of science, technology, engineering, art and math. Students will be introduced to different concepts of S.T.E.A.M. through tactile and visual learning methods. Parents will be required to provide lunch each day. Other details regarding attendance will be shared in a detailed flyer. Each week of camp will provide a different theme and a variation of daily activities.

Our Little Coders class is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for ages 5-7. We use age-appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch to introduce basic coding skills. Students learn basic coding concepts, such as Loops and Conditionals. They practice these concepts to build simple projects, including games, stories, and drawing and animating game characters. At the end of the course, students will be able to comfortably build simple scratch projects on their own.

In Chess Camp, campers play and learn chess with Magnus Academy! We've taught 100,000 children including national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn and have fun! Campers are broken up in groups by skill level. Activities include learning the rules, openings, tactics, endgames, studying master games, and playing lots of games against other students. Campers will take breaks for snacks and to move around. At the end of the week, campers receive a t-shirt and chess set. All equipment provided.

his class will have tons of interaction between teacher and student as well as between student to student. We focus on making sure the students are actively creating art through the entirety of the class with instructions and the lesson interspersed throughout the class. Each week we begin and finish a new project.

This course is for students who would like to explore working with air-dry clay. They will explore using basic tools, experimenting with textures, and techniques working with clay. They will create their own pieces of art during each class. Projects include: sculptures, mugs, hanging pot + more!

Through theater and improv games and scene work, students’ imaginations and creativity can blossom to their full potential.
